Labour law firm Warsaw

Labour law is a general term for the legal regulations of the relationship between employers and employees, setting out the rights and obligations of the two parties. This is a key area of law that is of great importance for the functioning of business, as it affects the way human resources are managed, how work is organised and what relations exist in the workplace. This branch of law also includes regulations on employee organisations, including regulations on the conduct of collective bargaining and dialogue in collective labour relations. In Poland, the main source of law in this area is the labour code, but in specific cases, other normative acts such as regulations on personal data protection, combating unfair competition or the civil code as well as internal regulations and detailed provisions of employment contracts must also be taken into account.

For business owners, labour law is crucial for at least several reasons. Firstly, familiarity with the rules is an expression of concern for legal security, often resulting in the avoidance of costs arising from years of litigation. Secondly, compliance with labour laws ensures that a stable employment structure can be built, which translates into both employee efficiency and a good name for the company. Thirdly, the regulations make it possible to manage time and work organisation flexibly, enabling companies to respond better and faster to changing market conditions.
